With 25+ years in the painting and fairing of small to large marine vessels including super yachts both locally and internationally, Alex decided to set up his own quality focused boat painting business. Backed up by a team of dedicated staff members including technical experts in painting, fairing, resprays, detailing, repairs and antifouling. Finishline Paint has rapidly established a strong reputation within the marine vessel industry for superior results, quality work, exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Alex is a hands-on managing director that inspires staff to uphold the business mission of above and beyond service delivery. He continually exceeds a range of clients’ goals and objectives as a painting and fairing perfectionist that effectively consults and brainstorms to pinpoint risks and issues while tailoring work to specific targets. The team is driven to meet core customer deliverables including budgets and timeframes. We proactively accommodate all needs and requests.

Yes, we are fully insured and we take the utmost care when working on your boat and because we are located in the Gold Coast CIty Marina, who have 24 hour onsite security throughout their premises we can pass this benefit onto our clients for extra reassurance.
We have industry trained paint technicians that will discuss your requirements and options to help you make the best decision. You’ll have access to colour swatch libraries where you’ll be able to browse many different colours and shades.
Our quotes are free. We’re confident that you’ll find our work fairly priced, so we happy to offer our potential customers free quotes.
We will need some basic details of the boat, such as the size of the vessel, what material is used in the construction, what the vessel is used for (private or commercial).
We will need to know what you want done, and discuss any deadlines, timeframes or budgets that may need to be considered. And finally organise a time with you to view the boat for an onsite quote inspection.

We use high performance Metamark M7 Series Vinyl for all our stickers. The M7 series vinyl is hard wearing, guaranteed to keep its lustrous colour for up to 5 years and performs consistently through a wide range of weather conditions making it ideal for exterior applications.

Yes, we have a master airbrush artist ‘Stuart Vimpani’ that can work with you to help bring your ideas to life. Stuart has created many one of masterpieces for our high profile clients. His artwork will turn any surface into a unique statement piece. If you’re looking for an extra touch of elegance or would just like to personalise your yacht, Stuart will be happy to assist.
If your boat is moored for long periods of time it is recommended to antifoul your vessel every 9-12 months. Antifouling your boat is an important part of maintaining your vessel in good working order.
Antifoul is a protective layer of chemically treated paint that is applied to your boats hull to stop marine growth and protect the surface. Marine growth creates a rough surface, which creates drag that slows the boat down, reduces manoeuvrability and impacts fuel efficiency.
